The 2018 Ford Escape Offers the Versatility Auburn-Area Drivers Demand

Offered in an expanded lineup of four trim levels -- S, SE, SEL and Titanium -- for 2018, the Ford Escape runs the gamut from a stylish, easy-to-drive base model to a powerful, sophisticated top-of-the-line option that's capable of doing double duty on a busy Saturday, taking you from hauling debris to a date night on the town.

No matter which of the four trim levels you choose, your 2018 Ford Escape SUV is going to come with cruise control, a rearview camera, automatic headlights, a six-way-adjustable driver's seat and an infotainment system that includes a 6-speaker audio system, USB input, a 4.2-inch screen and the Ford SYNC system that delivers Bluetooth® connectivity and voice streaming. You'll also be pleased to learn that the Escape's tow rating is among the highest in the segment, making the compact SUV more useful than many of its rivals.

There are three four-cylinder engine options for the 2018 Escape, but they are assigned to specific trim levels. The base S model comes with a 2.5-liter engine that makes 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque; SE and SEL models offer a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque; the Titanium trim boasts a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that generates 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. All engines team with a six-speed automatic transmission, and all Escape models come with standard front-wheel drive. If you prefer to add all-wheel drive, which we definitely recommend, you can only do so on the SE, SEL and Titanium trims.
